Country Foods Service
As part of a traditional Nunavummiut diet, hunters across Nunavut hunt, fish and harvest what is known as country foods. This includes caribou, musk ox, ducks, ptarmigan, beluga whales, arctic char, and other wild foods. Country foods also include berries and edible plants harvested from the land. Country foods are a large part of a nutritious and balanced diet for people living in the North which Calm Air proudly supports.
Calm Air provides free shipping across our scheduled serviced routes to send and/or receive country foods to other communities within the Kivalliq.
Bring your next shipment to our cargo counter and we will inspect your package to ensure it is appropriate for travel.
